General Flu Vaccine Information:

Walk-in Flu vaccine is available at the VNA office Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 4 pm. No appointment needed, while supplies last!


The CDC recommends those over age 55 or at high risk, get their flu shot by October, but even December and January is not too late!

For Senior Citizens:

VNA will bill Medicare Part B, Medicare HMO's: Security Blue, UPMC for Life, Gateway Medicare Assured, Advantra, and UMWA "The Retirement Funds" for seasonal flu vaccine for those over 65 years of age or on Medicare. Please bring your insurance cards to the clinic.

For others:

VNA cannot bill other insurance plans.

The recommended minimum contribution for a flu shot is $20.00.

Your insurance may cover the flu vaccine at your doctor's office or a local pharmacy. We recommend that you explore your options.

VNA will give flu shots to age 9 and older. For children under age 9 please contact their primary care physician. 

Women who are pregnant should consult their doctor before getting a flu shot.

The Health and Human Services Subcommittee has not planned a free Flu Vaccine POD (Point of Distribution) for the 2014-15 season.

VNA will not distribute High-Dose/65+, Intradermal, Nasal, or Quadrivalent flu vaccine. 

Flu Vaccine for the workplace and facilities

VNA Extended Care offers flu clinics in the workplace for businesses and other groups. Please call VNA EXTENDED CARE at 724-463-1102 to schedule a clinic at your place of business.

Many Personal Care Homes and Independent Living facilities also participate in our flu vaccine campaign for their residents and employees.

Contact the VNA at 724-463-6340 to schedule a clinic. VNA will not distribute High-Dose/65+, Intradermal, Nasal, or Quadrivalent flu vaccine.
